Tim is a double graduate of Duke University (1990 BA in Psychology; 1995 Master's of Divinity). In
between college and graduate school he worked for at United Methodist Family Services in Richmond as a
counselor with emotionally disturbed youth who were wards of the courts.
Tim is married to the former Teresa Dew, and they are proud parents of Caleb Franklin, Joshua Lee, and
Anna Elizabeth. They have two dogs, Sadie and Chloe, and two finches, Oreo and Vanilla.
Tim is a dynamic, creative, and committed leader whose love of God, Christ, and life are infectious, and
treasured by his staff and parishioners. Tim's gifts for ministry include worship leadership, visioning,
strategic planning, and technology. Tim brings renewed strength in mission work and an increase in
vibrant, active, and involved members.
Tim enjoys writing, reading, studying, running, playing the Wii, and anything that involves spending time
with his family.

Wellspring has been blessed to be served by Tim and his wife Teresa
since 2003. Pastor Tim is a fourth generation pastor in the United
Methodist Church. He grew up in Northern Virginia and Richmond,
where he graduated from JR Tucker High School. Upon completion of
graduate school, Tim spent 8 years at the Centreville United Methodist
Church before being appointed pastor of Wellspring in July, 2003.
